Here's a closer look at the Warcraft III players who are attending the finals in Paris, France for ESWC 2007.

여기에서는 ESWC2007 프랑스 파리 파이널참석하는 워크래프트 3선수들 좀더 가까이서 봄이다.


The Electronic Sports World Cup stands as one of the most prestigious e-sports events in the world. Paris sets the stage for this event for 5 years running, ever since ESWC’s birth back in 2003.

ESWC은 세계에서 가장 훌륭한 이스포츠 이벤트중의 하나로써 서있다. 다시 2003년 ESWC의 탄생한후 네네 파리는 5년을 달린 이 이벤트의 무대를 맡았다.

Players around the world take the opportunity to attend this tournament by qualifying from their home countries. The event branches out to span multiple countries such as South Korea, Brazil, Sweden, Canada, India, and Egypt, to make it truly a global event.

세계의 선수들은 그들의 홈 나라들로부터 예선을 치룸으로써 이 토너먼트에 참석할수있는 기회를 가졌다. 이벤트는 세계적인 그것을 정말 세계 이벤트로 만드는 South Korea, Brazil, Sweden, Canada, India, and Egypt같은 다양한 나라들를 연결해서 사업을 확장했다.

Jae Wook “Lucifer” Noh returns to defend his title after taking 1st place in last year’s tournament. He certainly needs to prepare himself harder than ever before, as his slew of opponents are no pushovers. Despite a lot of notable names such as ToD, Sky and Moon not attending this year’s ESWC; Noh still has a lot to worry about—namely players such as Manuel “Grubby” Schenkhuizen or even the recently controversial Andrey “Deadman” Sobolev.

Jae Wook "Lucifer" Noh는 지난 해의 토너먼트의 첫번째 자리를 가진후 그의 타이틀을 방어하기위해 되돌아왔다.  다수의 상대방이 약한상대가 아니기때문에 그는 확실히 전보다더 힘들게 스스로를 준비하는것이 필요하다.  올해 ESWC에 참석하지못한 ToD,Sky와 Moon과 같은 많이 주목할만한 이름에도 불구하고 Noh는 여전히 Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen이나 심지어 최근 물의를 일으킨 Andrey "Deadman" Sobolev와 같은 이름있는 선수들에대해 걱정이많다.

This preview takes a closer look at the qualified players to see how well they’ll do in the group stage, sizing them up based on popular opinion along with their recent personal results, along with seeing who might make it to the coveted top 8.

Deadman has more accomplishments than HoT, but I see HoT as a more consistent player than Deadman. I regard Deadman highly as a player-- a dwindling respect, however; so HoT might be able to snatch top place from Deadman, especialy with his recent good results in CeBIT.

Deadman은 HoT보다 더많은 성과를 가졌지만 나는 Deadman보다 더 견고한 선수로써 HoT를 본다.나는  선수로써 Deadman를 높이 본다. 하지만 존경이 업어짐으로써 특별히 CeBIT에서 그의 최근 좋은 결과들과함께 HoT은 Deadman으로부터 탑 자리를 잡아챌수있을것이다.

Still, the top 3 for this group with the three Elf players are obvious. Additionally, it would be amusing to see if Deadman chooses to change his race during his matchups.

3 나이트엘프 선수들과 함께 이 그룹에대한 탑 3은 명백하다. 추가적으로,  Deadman이 그의 매치업동안 그의 종족을 바꾸는것을 선택한다면 보는것이 재미날것이다.

Deadman and HoT should be able to take the top 8 spots coming from this group.

Another round of obvious choices, with the three Elves as the favorites. Ranks boil down to who plays elf mirror best-- which I might give to Creolophus, who managed to defeat SoJu several times, along with being really creative when it comes to this matchup

좋아하는 3 엘프와 함께 분명한 선택으로 또다른 라운드. 순위는 결국 이 매치업이 다가올대 정말 창조적으로 되는것과 함께 여러번 SoJu를 패배시킨 운영을한 Creolophus에게 줄지모르는  최고 엘프 동족전를 경기하는 이로 된다.  

I'll go out on a limb and call PaTo on 2nd; because everytime I think of elf mirror and Soju, all I remember is how he lost to Levin at WCG.

나는 위태위태한 줄타리기를 할것이고 2nd로 PaTo, 여러번 나는 엘프동족전과 SoJu를 생각했기때문에 나는 그가 WCG에서 Levin에게 어떻게 졌는지 기억한다.

Top 8 Contenders:
Creolophus is a shoo-in for a top 8 spot, and one of my top 3 favorites. Soju is another contender, but he always seem to falter during the big competitions after doing well on qualifiers.

Creolophus는 top 8 자리에대해 승리가 확실한 후보자이고 내가 좋아하는 탑3중하나이다. SoJu는 또다른 경쟁자이지만 그는 항상 예선에서 잘한 후에 큰 대회동한 비틀거렸던것으로 보여진다.

SaSe's too popular not to award the top spot for, but I'll confidently call Lyc to take the top spot. Lyc showed a lot of promise during WSVG Wuhan, taking none other than ReMinD out of the tournament, and this is his chance to prove himself at a bigger, international scale.

SaSe는 탑자리를 주지안기에는 너무 인기있다. 하지만 나는 확신을 가지고 탑자리를 갖는 것은 Lyc라고 부를 것이다. ReMinD가 그 토너먼트에서 나간것 이상의 어떤것도 말할 필요가없는 Lyc는 WSVG Wuhan동안 많은 약속을 보여주었고 이는 더크게 세계적인 범위에 그스스로 증명할 그의 기회이다.

SaSe should be able to take 2nd spot though, unless Frenchman eLquA pulls out his tricks and manage to surprise SaSe. Nevertheless, the top three spots are secure for these players.

프랑스인 eLquA는 SaSe를 놀라게하는 재주와 운영빼내는것 없이는 SaSe는 그래도 2등 자리를 가질수있을것이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 탑 3자리는 이들선수들에대해 확신한다.

Top 8 Contenders:
No one that really stands out for me to confidently say that they can take top 8. Lyc might be talented, but he might fall short during brackets. Same goes for SaSe.

정말 확실하게 내가 두각을 나타낼 어떤이는 그들이 탑8를 가질수있다는 것을 말않안다. Lyc는 재능이있을지모르지만 그는 버켓동안 짧게 떨어질것이다. 동일하게 SaSe에대해서 간다.

Group D

   Grubby
   Hasuobs
   LoLvsxD
   Paladyn
   Beez

Everyone thinks the same thing-- Grubby takes the top spot. The next two spots are a tossup between Hasuobs, LoLvsxD and Paladyn. I'm leaning towards Hasuobs for the 2nd spot, especially with his spectacular EPS win last month.

모든이는 -Grubby가 탑 자리를 갖는다 - 같은것을 생각한다. 다음 두자리는 Hasuobs,LoLvsxD와 Paladyn사이에서 동전던지기이다. 나는 2번째 자리에대해 특별히 지난 달 그의 극적인 EPS 승리와 함께 Hasuobs에게 쏠려있다.

Paladyn is more exposed to competitive gaming than LoL, but I feel he's pretty inconsistent. So it's a possibility that LoL might even sneak past him for that coveted third spot.

Plaadyn은 LoL보다 경쟁적인 게임으로 더 공격받기 쉽지만 나는 그가 꽤 변덕스럽다고 느낀다. 그래서 LoL가 3번째 자리를 바랬던것에대해 그를 지나쳐 살금살금 들어올지도모른다.

Top 8 Contenders:
Grubby should be able to smuggle himself a top 8 spot, even a top 3 if he's lucky with matchups. Not a lot of players he has to worry about in the tournament.

Grubby는 그가 매치업과함께 행운이 있다면 심지어 top3인, 탑 8자리를 그스스로 몰래갖고 들어올수있을것이다. 많은 선수들에대해서는 아니지만 그는 토너먼트에대해 걱정를 해야만한다.

I hate to say it, but Lucifer's been playing bad recently. Far from the monster he was back at ESWC last year and during the B.net Season IV finals. He reached his peak then pummeled right down. But I certainly won't complain if he proves me wrong! Although it won't matter so much in the early group stages and he will still get the top spot.

나는 이것을 말하는 것을 싫어한지만 Lucifer가 최근 좋지않게 경기했다. 괴물로부터 멀리 그는 ESWC 작년과 B.net Season IV Final동안에 돌아왔다.그는 그땐 바로아래 칼자루를 끝으로 지었던 그의 절정에 도달했었다.하지만 그가 나에게 잘못을 증명한다면 나는 확실히 불평이없다. 쉬운 그룹에서는 그렇게 만은 문제는 없고  그는 여전히 탑 자리를 갖을것이다.

In terms of experience and activity, Danish Orc player should take the second spot on this group. I haven't seen a lot of action coming from French player Wolf to size him up, same goes for Bulgarian player Jack. But Jack might surprise, as he managed to qualify from a country that's Warcraft III crazy.

경험과 활동에 의하여, Danish 오크 선수는 이 그룹에서 2번째 자리를 가질것이다. 나는 그를 평가하는데 프랑스출신 선수 Wolf 많은 액션은 보여지지않았다. 불가리아 선수 Jack에대해 똑같이간다. 하지만 Jack은 그가 워크래프트3에 미친 나라로부터 예선을 해냈기때문에 놀랄지도모른다.


Top 8 Contenders:
I just don't see Lucifer winning it again, but he should at least manage to take top 8.

나는 곧 다시 Lucifer가 우승하는 것을 보지못한다.하지만 그는 최소한 top8를 해낼것이다.


Group F

Orc player Fly100% gets to play against two Humans, but he has time and again defeated Sky, so he probably wouldn't find it overly difficult to take them down. I feel that overrated underdog Nilknarf is actually in better shape than Xyligan, so I'd give him 2nd place-- unless Undead player apm totally dominates the two Human players, which isn't too far-fetched.

Orc 선수 fly100%는 두 휴먼에 맞서 경기하는 것을 갖지만 그는 시간을 가졌고 다시 Sky를 패배시켰다. 그래서 그는 아마 그들을 떨어트리는 몹시 어려운 것을 찾아 내지는 안을것이다. 나는 과대평가했던 질것같은 Nilknarf는 실제 Xyligan보다 더좋은 모습이다. 그래서 나는 언데드 선수 apm이 전체적으로 너무 무리하게 두 휴먼 선수들를 지배하는 것이 아닌 그에게 2번재 자리를 줄것이다.  

Top 8 Contenders:
I'd really like to see Fly100% take a top 8 spot, but with his lack of international experience, he might choke during the 2nd group stage or during the bracket rounds. Nilknarf took top 8 last year, and if he's lucky, he might be able to do that again.

나는 정말 Fly100%이 탑 8자리를 갓는것을 보기를 원하지만 그의 세계적 경험의 부족과 함께 그는 2번째 group Stage나 bracker round동안 실망 시킬지도모른다. Nilknarf는 지난해에 top8를 가졌고 그가 운이있다면 그는 다시 저것을 할수있을지도 모른다.

Group G

Lyn takes top place without a doubt, I consider him as one of the best "new" players to come out of Korea, playing a race that isn't exactly popular with the progamers. Despite using a race that's pretty much considered an "underdog", he managed to defeat most top contenders.

Lyn은 의심없이 top 자리를 갖는다. 나는 프로겜어들과 함께 정확히 인기없는 종족을 플레이하는 한국에서 생겨난 최고의 "새" 선수들중 하나로써 그를 생각한다. "질가능성이높은자"로 고려되는것이 더많은 종족을 사용함에도 불구하고 그는 가장 탑 경쟁자를 패배시킬것이다.

Insomnia and DeMusliM should take 2nd and 3rd place for this group.

Insomnia와 DeMusliM은 이 그룹에서 2번째와 3번쨰를 차지할것이다.

Top 8 Contenders:
If Lyn gets lucky in seeds, he might manage to take top 3 for this tournament. Personally, he's one of those players that has a big chance of bringing it all home.


Lyn은 Seed에서 운을 갖졌다면, 그는 이 토너먼트에서 top3를 차지 해낼지도 모른다. 개인적으로 그는 모든집에 그것을 가져다주는 큰 기회를 갖는 이 선수들중 하나이다.


Group H

   Zeus[19]

I say Zeus[19] takes the top spot. For the second spot, it's a tossup between Fury and RotterdaM. RotterdaM isn't at his best shape, but FuRy has a racial disadvantage against Orc.

나는 Zeus[19]가 top 자리를 차지한다고 말한다. 두번째 자리에대해 Fury와 rotterdaM사이에서
동전던지기이다. RotterdaM은 그의 최고 모습이지는 않지만 FuRy는 오크에 맞서 종족적인 불이익를 갖는다.

FuRy did mention that maps are favorable for the Undead in that matchup so he might inch past RotterdaM for the 2nd spot to leave Rotti on 3rd.

FuRy는 맵들이 매치업안에 언데드에게 인기있다고 언급을 해서 그는 3번째에 Rotti를 남겨두고 2번째에서 RotterdaM를 지나쳐 움직일지도 모른다.

Top 8 Contenders:
Zeus[19] took 2nd place last year after a controversial win against his own teammate Grubby when a computer restarted in the middle of the game. I feel that he won't make a repeat of that this year and making top 8 for him will be hard, despite him playing better during LAN.

Zeus[19]는 컴퓨터가 게임 중간에 다시시작했을때 그의 자신의 팀동료 Grubby를 상대로 논란의 여지가있는 승리후 지난해 2번째 자리를 차지했었다. 나는 LAN동안 더좋은 플레이를 했던 그임에도 불구하고 올해 그가 top 8를 반복해 만들는 것은 힘들것으로 느낀다.
